Sam Houston State University

University Theatre Center

The University Theatre Center is located on the east side of campus and is the site for theatre and musical theatre classes and performances.

The building contains two theatres, the 300-seat Erica Starr Theatre, dedicated in memory of alumna Erica Starr Czerwinski in 2010, and 90-seat Showcase Theatre, as well as classrooms, design and dressing rooms, greenroom, and rehearsal space. It is connected to the Gaertner Performing Arts Center via a covered walkway.

The sculpture Double-Double stands out front the western entrance.
