Join faculty from across the university for a 4-day interactive workshop to study writing-to-learn strategies designed to increase student participation, comprehension, and retention without significantly increasing your own workload.

You'll find creative ways to manage the requirements for writing-enhanced courses, including developing syllabi and individual assignments. We'll learn how writing can also be used as a tool in non-W classes to increase students' engagement with the course material.

Participants receive a $500 stipend, an excellent resource book, and a collection of materials grounded in the theory and practice of writing in the disciplines.  Participants must commit to the full four days.
