In-person auditions are from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Students who are NOT auditioning for Musical Theatre will be dismissed before 5:00pm. All SHSU Theatre & Musical Theatre programs are by audition/interview only. 

Audition Dates for Spring and Fall 2027 Students

Registration for in-person auditions closes the Sunday prior to the scheduled audition date.

• Sunday, November 29, 2026 - Virtual Deadline for Spring 2027 Admission

• Friday, February 5, 2027 - In-Person Program Auditions and Interviews
  • Registration closes Sunday Jan 31 at 11:59 PM
• Friday, April 2, 2027 - In-Person Program Auditions and Interviews
  • Registration closes Sunday March 28 at 11:59 PM

• Sunday, April 18, 2027 - Priority Virtual Deadline for Fall 2027 Admission

• Sunday, May 9, 2027 - Final Virtual Deadline for Fall 2027 Admission
