Sam Houston State University

Single Reed Camp

The Single Reed Institute is a unique opportunity for young clarinet and saxophone players with at least 3 years of playing experience to participate in music making outside of their own school program. Students will have the opportunity to work with SHSU faculty Patricia Card (clarinet) and Masahito Sugihara (saxophone). The Institute is structured to improve individual performance skills, while allowing the campers to interact with other young musicians in music and socially.

Registration is required. Visit the School of Music summer camps webpage for details.
