Join the Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library this summer for Saturday Spotlights.  Every Saturday, from June 8 – July 27, museum staff will be on the museum grounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a variety of programs for visitors to learn about life in the 19^th century. 

The Saturday Spotlight for July 20:  Gardening with Thomas.  Join our master gardener, Thomas, to learn about our vegetable garden and help shell fresh peas.  Then swing by Eliza’s kitchen to sample some fresh cooked peas and cornbread.

(Additional activity:  kick wheel pottery demonstration at the Raven’s Pottery Shed.)
