The beauty of Arbor Day is that, rather than looking backward to events of the past, this holiday looks forward with promise for a future filled with trees. Arbor Day celebrates planting and nurturing trees. It celebrates all the ways trees enrich our lives and stabilize our environment. Spring is a terrific time to take care of our trees on the SHSU campus!

REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled at SHSU 
• Wear appropriate clothing to work outdoors along with comfortable closed-toe shoes.
• Use tools and safety equipment provided by staff.
• Participate the entire time (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) and follow direction of SHSU Staff.
