In Ahrens and Flaherty’s Haitian fairy-tale "Once on this Island," a group of storytellers shares the story of Ti Moune and her epic journey in pursuit of love. On this young girl's quest for love, she must contend with the Gods to prove that love is stronger than death.

Both in-person and virtual live stream options will be available for The Department of Theatre and Musical Theatre's musical production of "Once on this Island." Showings will run from April 28 through May 1 at 7:30 pm each evening with a 2 pm Saturday matinee. 

In-person showings will be in the Erica Starr Theatre in the University Theatre Center. Facemasks are required on campus and social distancing practices will be observed. Limited seating available. 

Tickets and streaming access will be available on the Box Office website ($12 in advance, and $15 the day of the event). 

SHSU students, faculty, and staff are free.
