Going for the 'IRON'

A panel presentation featuring the elite athletes participating in the SHSU Department of Kinesiology-sponsored Ultra-Endurance Pro Camp, on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. in College of Humanities and Social Sciences Building Room 110. Refreshments will be served and door prizes—including a set of AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Wireless Headphones—will be given away.

They train like U.S. Olympic champions, running, swimming and biking hundreds of miles each week just to call themselves an "Ironman." But in their everyday lives, they also are professionals who work 40 hours a week, sometimes with spouses and children at home. Learn how everyday heroes, the triathletes who are training to perform under extreme conditions—including at least one qualifier for the 140-plus-mile, 17-hour IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii—manage it all in this panel discussion and Q&A.
