October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 

Sam Houston State University welcomes Courtney Cain, Madison County District Attorney, and Heather Reeves, Madison County Victim Assistance Coordinator, who will explore the criminal justice system's response to domestic violence and the vital role of victim advocacy. Together, we can create a campus community where everyone feels safe, respected and supported. 

All SHSU students, faculty, and staff are welcome. Light refereshments will be provided.
