CAM has teamed up with the First-Generation Center and other campus areas to host a fun day in support of our first-generation Bearkats! This event is part of a week-long, university-wide celebration for National First-Generation Week, and a full calendar of events can be found here.

All CAM students, faculty, and staff are invited to the CAM First-Generation Celebration on Friday, November 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the lobby area of the Gaertner Performing Arts Center. You do not have to be a first-generation student to attend.

We'll have food, beverages, games, and swag items! Select CAM student organizations and representatives from SHSU resources will attend to share information and answer your questions.

Students who complete their Scholarship4Kats application at the Financial Aid station can enter a drawing for a $500 scholarship! *You need a current Scholarship4Kats application on file to receive any university scholarships.
