Climbing and Camping at Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Climb to new heights in North Texas as we explore the rocks and trails at Lake Mineral Wells State Park.  Not into rock climbing?  It's ok!  Lake Mineral Wells is an incredible place to explore from the ground too.  Transportation, most meals, climbing instruction and gear provided.

The trips and workshops offered by the Outdoor Recreation Program at Sam Houston State University are open to anyone who wants a truly unique experience. Trips can vary in difficulty from easy to strenuous and range from an afternoon in a canoe to a week in the backcountry. This is your chance to get outside, try something different, and live the life less ordinary. No experience is necessary to sign up! Trip costs include transportation, equipment, food (except any meals on the road), permits and fees, lodging or camping, instruction, and guides.
