CHSS Contemporary Issues Forum: Civil Rights

Join the College of Humanities for the 2nd Contemporary Issues Forum, Civil Rights: Applying the Lessons of the Past to Today on February 18 at 6pm in CHSS 110. This will be a meaningful and lively discussion about Civil Rights followed by a Q&A session. Panelists include Nihad Awad, National Executive Director of the Council American-Islamic Relations, Lynne Liberato, Houston attorney, author, former president of the Texas Bar Association and SHSU Distinguished Alumnus, Amanda Venta, SHSU psychology professors whose research focuses on migrant children on the border and Hezekiah Watkins, Freedom Rider and author of Pushing Forward.
