Join the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Diversity and Inclusion Committee, SHSU MFA Program in Creative Writing, SHSU LGBTQI* Faculty and Staff Network, and Gamma Sigma Kappa in kicking off Black History Month programming with a creative showcase by students and a craft talk and poetry reading by visiting scholar and poet Cameron Awkward-Rich. Activities include a Poetry Craft Talk at noon in Evans Complex Room 212, a Black History Month Creative Showcase at 5 p.m. in Austin Hall and a poetry reading and book signing from author Cameron Awkward-Rich. A reception will follow at The Vortexan.
