Join us for a lecture from Dr. Suzy Kim, Professor of Korean Studies at Rutgers University and author of the award-winning book Everyday Life in the North Korean Revolution.
With historical comparisons to revolutions in the early 20th century, this presentation draws on the author’s award winning book, Everyday Life in the North Korean Revolution, to introduce rarely seen archival material from North Korea’s formative stage, situating its development within the broader history of modernity. The talk aims to demystify the myths that pose a challenge to resolving current tensions.
