The Miss Sam Houston Pageant, an event for scholarly and influential female students on the SHSU campus, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6-9 p.m. in the LSC Ballroom.

The pageant serves to acknowledge leaders on the Sam Houston campus and in the Huntsville community. Miss Sam Houston acts as a role model for all and a representative and spokesperson of Sam Houston State University. She upholds the highest ideals, vision, and motto of the university and the Texas State University System. Miss Sam Houston will not only continue to advance the Miss Sam Houston name, but will also be the recipient of an educational award, a  meal plan courtesy of Aramark, and will represent Sam Houston State University in the 2017 Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant.
